What kind of “value of inner self” are expected to have from Taoist? And what can be done to improve this value? Thank you.
Answer :
It is hard for me to understand the meaning of “value of inner self” described in your question. Probably what you meant was a characteristic of life in positive way or type of good characters, a Tao learner should have. In my opinion, those are called “Dao Jia Feng Fan”, i.e. to lead by example ( this should be the characteristic of Taoist ) which include : empathy, humble, smart, firmness in holding to principles, tolerant, forgiving, always have a drive to learn things, many other positive characters to have. And to achieve it, we have to go through a process of continuous “self - revision”.
